Joey creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in his sessions by providing transparent explanations of what clients can expect. In your first session, Joey asks what your therapeutic goals are and will work with you to establish a realistic plan to meet these. His friendly and warm demeanour ensures that all clients feel at ease during their sessions. Joey customises each experience to match the client’s comfort level, to foster trust and collaboration. After sessions, Joey often provides his clients a written session summary to enhance their session understanding and reinforce progress.

Joey has a focus on specific evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Joey provides treatment to clients across the lifespan using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Motivational interviewing and Mindfulness-based techniques.
