At PsychMed, we have made it our mission to provide evidence based and culturally appropriate psychological services to ensure a quality experience for all. We are committed to driving innovation in mental health, and offer quality clinical services and high standard professional training.
We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of the Adelaide plains, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge and respect the Kaurna people’s cultural and spiritual connection to their land, water, and community. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our clinics are visually welcoming, with acknowledgement of country plaques visible at each clinic entrance, and our commissioned artwork completed by local artist Jordan Lovegrove (Ngarrindjeri) on display. We also offer information and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services, support programs and interpretation services.
At PsychMed, we are also committed to providing a safe environment and inclusive services for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We do this by hiring inclusive staff, who are committed and trained to provide culturally safe and inclusive practice. On our New Patient Intake Form, you will be able to select your preferred name, pronouns and gender identity. If your pronouns or gender identity are not listed, there is a free text option for you to add your own. We also offer LGBTQIA+ inclusive programs, including our LGBTQIA+ CPT program. Our clinics are visually welcoming with rainbows, pride flags and LGBTQIA+ posters on display, courtesy of ShineSA, to ensure all members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel safe and supported upon entering the clinic. Our triaging process will also ensure you are allocated a psychologist with knowledge and experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients.
We have a range of locations to choose from, all of which are wheelchair accessible.
