As a society, we’re becoming increasingly more aware of the mind-body connection. PsychMed has a strong reputation for offering a wide range of psychological treatments and now we’re excited to introduce remedial massage services to focus on your body too. Rest your aching muscles in our new treatment room and feel the benefits of a 30 or 60-minute remedial massage with our qualified remedial massage therapist.

Remedial massage is designed to treat medical conditions by locating damaged areas of the body and helping to speed up the natural recovery process. A variety of techniques can be used to target problematic areas that may also cause secondary pain. Remedial massage aims to uncover the source of the pain to improve the cause of discomfort and resulting symptoms.

  • Treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Ease muscle pain and secondary pain, like headaches or abdominal pain
  • Stimulate blood supply
  • Flush chemicals out the body that cause muscles to tighten
  • Increase joint mobility
  • Repair damaged tissue
  • Improve body posture and restore the correct position of bones
  • Aid recovery time in athletes
  • Assist with draining lymph fluid
  • Experience a sense of wellbeing

In a quiet corner of our Gilles Plains clinic you’ll find Nayu, our friendly, talented remedial massage therapist. After studying Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Japan and accumulating more than 10 years of experience in Japan and Australia, you can rest assured you’ll be in good hands.

Nayu is a registered remedial massage and dry needle therapist in Australia and a member of Massage Myotherapy Australia. She recognises every client is unique and takes a flexible approach
to support each individual’s health care plans. She also has a special interest in working with neck and shoulder pain, drawing on a wide repertoire of evidence-based techniques.

Nayu and the rest of the PsychMed team look forward to welcoming you to our little oasis in Gilles Plains.
